Part road-movie, part family drama, The Descendants is the story of a family preparing for the loss of their matriarch. The film utilizes the absolute best of writer/director Alexander Payne’s talents with a smart script and wonderful direction. George Clooney stars as the father with many decisions to make, delivering his finest performance to date in the process.
